Posting a PDF in WordPress
This guide explains how to upload and share PDF files on your WordPress site.
1. Log in to the WordPress Admin Dashboard
First, Login to the Admin Dashboard.
2. Uploading the PDF File
- Go to Media > Add New.
- Click Select Files and choose the PDF you want to upload from your computer.
3. Choose How to Display the PDF
After uploading your PDF, you can display it on your site in one of two ways. Choose only one of the following options:
Option A: Insert as a Download Link
- Edit the page where you want to add the PDF.
- Click the Add Block (+) button and search for the File block.
- Select the PDF you uploaded from the media library.
- The block will display a download button and a link to the PDF.
Option B: Use the Custom PDF with Preview Plugin

- Edit the page where you want to add the PDF. (A row, column or grid may be useful to organize text alongside the preview, as shown above.)
- Click the Add Block (+) button and search for the PDF with Preview block.
- Select the PDF you uploaded from the media library.
- The block will display a clickable preview that links to the PDF.
